A defined goal helps you to stay motivated and on the right path.<\/p>\n \u201cI encourage people to be \u2018focused but flexible\u2019 as they move in the direction of their goals,\u201d she adds. \u201cDon\u2019t pursue your goal with \u2018blinders\u2019 on. Your career path isn\u2019t written in stone, and it doesn\u2019t always follow a straight line from point A to point B. Some even have special committees or leadership roles for current students or new professionals.
